Who’s behind Align

I’m Olivia, and it’s a privilege to be here with you.

I am a Badtjala woman, queer-girlie, psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, educator, writer, and celebrant-in-the-making. Across all areas of my work, I am grounded by relationship.

I am deeply interested in what happens in the space between people: the quiet, complex, deeply human place where safety, trust, grief, meaning, and change can begin to unfold. I do not believe healing is something to be rushed, measured only by outcomes, or reduced to technique. I understand healing as relational, embodied, cultural, ethical, and often beautifully slow.

My approach is trauma-informed, psychodynamic, decolonial, culturally grounded, and attentive to the systems and histories that shape people’s lives. I bring warmth, steadiness, curiosity, and care to my work, alongside a deep commitment to justice, dignity, and nuance.

As a clinician and supervisor, I support people to listen more closely to what sits beneath the surface — in themselves, in their relationships, and in the work they do with others. I am especially drawn to complexity: trauma, grief, identity, belonging, kinship, family, culture, queerness, and the many ways people make meaning after rupture.

My work is also shaped by my relationship to Country, story, ceremony, and ancestral knowledge. Whether I am working in therapy, supervision, education, writing, or ceremony, I seek to create spaces where people do not have to fracture themselves in order to be understood.

At the heart of my work is a simple but powerful belief: relationship is one of the most important resources we have.
